Fleece Covers
Fleece nappy covers are breathable and incredibly water-resistant, which makes them ideal for babies that suffer from rashes and also in hot/humid climates. Cuddly-Bub Fleece Covers are constructed from two layers of high quality, anti-pill polyester polar fleece, in a turned and topstitched design that is trim fitting under clothes. Available wrap style with front closing hook and loop (Velcro) closure, or Side-Snap closure with six snap settings at each side to provide a very adjustable fit, and allows the waist and thighs to be adjusted independently. Durable Plastic snap closures are applied with a manufacturers snap press.
PUL/Fleece Covers
Cuddly-Bub PUL covers have an outer layer of breathable, waterproof poly-urethane laminate fabric on the outside with a layer of micro-fleece or polar fleece on the inside. PUL covers are trim fitting, and provide excellent waterproofness. The PUL fabric used in Cuddly-Bub products is a medical grade fabric that is breathable, waterproof and unlike other breathable PUL's, it is durable enough to be hot washed and tumble dried.
Approximate Nappy Cover measurements in each size:
X-Small - Rise: 39cm, Waist: 22-36cm;Small - Rise: 41cm, Waist: 24-47cm;
Medium - Rise:47cm, Waist: 30-58cm;
Large - Rise: 51cm, Waist: 30-61cm;
All fleece covers are likely to fit slightly larger than PUL Fleece combinations due to the natural stretch of the fleece fabric. Side snap covers will fit slightly larger in the waist at the upper limit, and provide a closer fit around the thigh for babies with skinny legs.
Cuddly-Bub Almost-In-Ones (AIO's)
Cuddly-Bub AIO's are a two piece system that consists of the the outer cover (all fleece or PUL/Fleece cover) and inner lay-in soaker pad.
The soaker pads in our AIO's are a tri-fold design constructed of either 100% cotton towelling or hemp/cotton blend fabrics (either fleece or French Terry). Like all Cuddly-Bub nappy products, our AIO's have a quick drying design, which means that you can rest assured that your baby's nappies will get thoroughly and hygenically clean in the wash.
We prefer two piece systems over one-piece AIO's for several other reasons:
If the outer shell is not soiled, it can be re-used as a cover over another cloth nappy, or again as an AIO simply by replacing the wet soaker pad with a fresh one. This means you don't need to buy as many complete nappies as you would if they were one piece designs (two or three soaker pads to one shell will do for most babies).
The soaker pads take longer to dry than the outer shells - by having the two separate, you can tumble dry the soaker pad for the time needed to dry it without subjecting the outer shell to unnecessary damage because you can remove it from the drier after much a shorter period of time (10-20 minutes in most driers). This means your two piece AIO's will last much longer, saving you money!
The absorbancy is right where you need it, down the length of the wet zone, not around the hips and bottom where it is not needed, which gives a trimmer fit, especialy with the PUL/Micro shells. The trifold lay in design also makes it possible to fold the pad to place extra absorbancy/coverage where your baby needs it, making the Cuddly-Bub AIO a versatile system.
Cuddly-Bub AIO soaker pads come in two thicknesses:
Standard: two layers of towelling or hemp/cotton (Fleece or French Terry) that provides six layers of absorbency when folded
Deluxe:Two layers of towelling or hemp fabric overlocked together, with a third layer of the same fabric (sewn down the centre third only for quick drying) which provides 9 layers of fabric (or more depending on how you fold it).
The towelling used in Cuddly-Bub products is the same superior fabric that Canning Vale flat towelling nappies are made from. We have chosen this fabric because Canning Vale Weaving Mills is the only textile company in Australia to have an ÖKO-TEX Standard 100 accreditation, which means that substances and materials used in the manufacturing of their products do not contain harmful substances that during normal use would be harmful to human health or the environment.
